3 Steps to owning a website
We often get asked what is needed to start up one's own website. The quick answer to that is:
- A domain name - this will be your website address e.g. www.redlemon.co.za. We can register your domain for you within two days of notification.
- Hosting - somewhere to put your website so that it is always accessible via the internet. We provide a range of hosting options and will set everything up when you purchase your domain name.
- A website design. We can provide you with a website design that fits in with your existing CI or if you're starting up a new company, we can provide an entire CI for you - logo, letterhead and business card design.

Search engine optimisation
Search engine optimisation is crucial if you want visitors to your site. Search engines can't index your website unless it has been made search engine friendly. Once your site is search engine friendly, it has to be submitted to the major search engines.
Simply put, this is an invitation to search engines to crawl and index your site. No invitation, no indexing.
All Red Lemon designed sites include search engine optimisation and submission. Your success on the search engines is very important to us, as this is the main reason you have a website - to make sure people find you! If you have any more questions you would like answered, please contact us. |
